一閃而逝的機會

突然來的機會就這樣沒了，是失望也是新的體驗。


因為工作的不順遂，興起了找新工作的念頭。但我對於做廣告的堅持，開始在台灣找不到出口。沒想到偶然的機會，JWT北京竟然找我面試，而且還是Associate Account Director，我興奮不已，到處打聽之下更發現，他們給的薪水好得超出我想像。

我開始到處詢問各方意見，在北京工作的學長，去過北京工作的朋友，呆在北京帶小孩的同事。


眾說紛紜，但我還是興奮的。


到了約好的下午，HR還跟我確認了晚上phone interview時間，以及我的手機號碼。突然一個小時前，她MSN我說，抱歉面試取消了，Director突然改變心意只想用有中國工作經驗的業務。我很失落，但似乎抱怨也挽回不了什麼。

只好開開玩笑地問，他似乎是個不好搞的老闆啊，是不是常常更改他的決定。直爽的HR回應，你怎知道？我們都拿他沒輒，但有什麼辦法，他能給公司帶來業績。同在線上的T學長說，你問問那個Director哪裡人？我問，他是北京人嗎？或者打哪來的？HR的回答更妙了，「我們」北京人不做這種事情的，他來自一個我不記得名字的poor city。突然感受到HR北方人的直爽個性。


就這樣和HR談了開來，也只好禮貌地跟她說，有好機會再告訴我吧。

終於上片了

Agency of the Year: CP+B

今天Ad Age公佈了2008年10大最佳代理商，名單中已經幾乎不見4A大公司，CP+B繼04年之後再度獲得此項殊榮。剛請老弟幫我從美國扛本HOOPLA回來，正想好好研究這家夢幻Factory。

2008年，CP+B最熱的就是搶下COKE ZERO及Microsoft consumer-branding campaign兩大PITCH。畫面中的帥男則是創辦人之一Alex Bogusky，上了Fast Company雜誌封面「Can This Dude Make Microsoft Cool?」。像這樣的創意熱店，似乎就永遠在夢想中打轉著，光想它位在Miami就覺得超讚，本人也是有偷偷丟過internship application被拒絕XD。

CP+B讓我最喜歡的，莫過06年Super Bowel Buger King廣告，那種期待看Super Bowel每支超創意廣告，比看得獎廣告還有趣，因為有些廣告一年就播那一次。這支Burger King廣告過了三年再回頭看，還是覺得好棒！

So excited to find out this new drama. It's called "Mad Men" that takes Best Drama Golden Globe for second straight year. Finally, got one American drama set in Madsion Avenue, and talked about advertising industry. It's pity that the story's happened in 1960' not now. By the way, so happy to find this!
